Webquest
A webquest is designed to present a task for students to use the internet to gain information on a subject.  Given the increasing role of the internet in classrooms across the nation, webquests have become a popular tool for instruction.  As part of his graduate level instructional design coursework, Center staff member Gene Carroll has developed one such webquest titled “Terrorism Response for Families.”  The webquest provides a number of child-oriented web sites and exercises and is designed to help children learn more about bioterrorism, prepare for an event and engage their family and friends.  This material will be useful not only to children and parents, but also to teachers and educators for both class instruction and discussion.  Gene invites you to share this Webquest with interested friends and families. The site can be accessed at http://www.kn.sbc.com/wired/fil/pages/webterrorisge.html
