Smallpox Initiative
Update
The
Center is currently making final additions and revisions to exercise documents
simulating drills and scenarios for public health assessment and training.
These documents will then be referred to the CDC for final review
and approval.
The Simpox project developed out of a grant from the CDC to draft both paper
and CD-ROM content encompassing drills and scenarios for public health department
assessment and training. This project also includes the development of
a DVD highlighting the Center’s advanced multimedia capabilities. Ultimately,
the Simpox project will result in the production of a quality product to effectively
assess and increase public health preparedness.
