Smallpox Initiative Update
The Center continues to make progress in its smallpox outbreak simulation initiative.  Production will begin in the next 2-3 weeks on the simulated news broadcasts designed to transmit information about a mock smallpox outbreak for use in training exercises. 

The Center is also pleased to announce William Patrick as a consultant for this project.  Mr. Patrick is a leading expert in the bioweapons field and was the head of the United States Bioweapons Program when it closed in 1969.  In addition to being an important consultant, interviews with Mr. Patrick will also be presented within the broadcast news clips.  Mr. Patrick will be giving a lecture at the Center, tentatively scheduled for April 12th.  If you would like to attend the lecture and reception, please contact us.
