Master’s Program in Biosecurity to launch in late 2004
Planning continues on the development of a Masters of Science Degree in Biosecurity. The first of its kind in the nation, the degree will be offered in a distance-learning format and will be multidisciplinary in nature. It is being designed as a competency-based curriculum aimed at preparing individuals for leadership positions in the emerging field of biosecurity. Faculty from the Law School, the Medical School, the School of Allied Health and the Department of Political Science are participating in the curriculum development efforts. We anticipate that the program will be ready for its first students by late fall.

A number of individuals have already expressed interest in the inaugural class.
Please let us know if you are interested in the program as we anticipate limited enrollment for the first year.
