Primary Care Preparedness
CD-ROM Series
The
three CD-ROM series contain video, PowerPoint and lecture transcript presentations
on the key concerns for each type of possible terrorist attack. The biological
terrorism disc contains information on: anthrax, smallpox, botulism, plague,
tularemia and VHF. The chemical lectures contain information on agents
such as mustards, arsines, cyanides and organophosphates. Dirty bombs,
radiation and nuclear reactions are featured in the radiological terrorism
disc. All three discs provide information about its topics in great detail,
including basic scientific information, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.
These discs were sent to public health departments across the nation and
their content is available on the Center’s website at http://www.bioterrorism/bt/products.htm.
These discs provide an important and unique component to bioterrorism education
and preparedness. Our goal is to give these discs a national presence and
be a benchmark in the field.
