As the federal government looks to spend billions of dollars on bioterrorism readiness, the Pentagon's chief outside adviser on bioterrorism says the money is being allocated in a "knee-jerk fashion" without any attempt to set priorities on what can be accomplished in the short and long term. The interview with George Poste, who chairs the Task Force on Bioterrorism of the Defense Science Board, will be posted June 5th on the Health Affairs Web site.
